Bear Lake

As a last hoo-rah of summer, we spent the weekend at Bear Lake with some families from our ward. This has become an end of summer tradition for us, making this year our 3rd visit. It was a perfet time to be at the lake.

LAKE POWELL

Can anyone say "speedo"

This year for our summer vacation we combined our family trip with Riley's graduation trip. We rented a house boat and spent a week at Lake Powell. There were 14 of us in all...our family, along with Riley's friend Bodey and his family, as well as 3 other friends from school.(Ana, myself and Marla, aka Bodey's mom were the only girls!) The temps were into the 100s every day so we did whatever we could to stay cool. Our activities including things such as:

Fishing
Swimming
Sliding off the Houseboat
Cliff Jumping
Hiking to Rainbow Bridge

Wake-boarding
Knee-boarding
Tubing
And of course sleeping!

He did it...

Riley graduated!

Look at those proud grandparents!

We'll Go First...

OK, since Missie and I started this thing, we'll begin with the first post.
In June we took a family vacation to Washington DC. We stayed with Missie's brother Doug, who lives just outside the capitol city, in Centerville, VA. In all, we spent 9 days touring the city, visiting memorials and museums.

It was an amazing trip and we wish we could have spent even more time there because there's just so much to see.
