This year Autumn's Brownie Troop built a float and rode in the Franklin Christmas Parade. It was so much fun.
The road goes on forever, and the party never ends!

Go Elf Yourself
If you haven't tried this already, it's a ton of fun and really easy. Tuscan learned how to do this at school, came home and showed the family, and we've been in hysterics ever since. The easiest way to find it is with a Google search of "elf yourself". It's a breeze from there! Your lives will never be the same again. You may also find 3 hours go by without realizing you havn't left your computer. I had Missie dancing and singing with 4 Justin Bieber elves, priceless! THANK YOU TUSCAN!!!

Zak wins new bike...
Zak Flinders, fifth-grade student from Canyon Elementary, entered UDOT's contest "Walk More in 4". UDOT wanted to encourage students to walk or bike to school therefore putting less cars on the roads. During the month of September, students kept track of all the days they walked or rode their bikes to and from school. If you conformed 75% of the time, you were eligible for a drawing for a bike or scooter. UDOT received over 4,000 entries. They gave out 30 bikes and scooters. Zak was surprised to find out that he was a winner of a new bicycle and helmet. Cherissa Wood from UDOT presented the bike to Zak in his classroom.

Yummy!
Best holiday treat this season (so far)...
These white corn tortilla chips are coated with cinnamon & sugar and I pretty much ate the whole bag in one sitting. They remind me of the cinnamon treats we used to walk down and get from Taco Time. Of course we never ate there as a family. We got the "cinnamon crisps" free when we turned in our colored holiday picture :)
The chips are only available for a limited time so be sure to grab a bag (or 3) next time you are at the store. They're not very good dipped in salsa but I bet they'd be really tasty dipped in soft serve vanilla ice cream, ( "I like ice cream" ) or a vanilla frosty. ENJOY!

MORE TENNESSEE...
George Jones' gate
center stage
the water came up to during the floods last year
inside the cave to Ruby Falls
We stopped in Leipers Fork near the beginning of the parkway at this old gas station to fill up on gas, drinks, moon pies and even found some of those old chalk cigarette candies that we use to have as kids and of course we had to buy a couple boxes.
Hey it's grandma!! What's she doing in Alabama?
Our next house ;)
